In addition to our social activities and charitable donations, Merrimack Friends and Families actively participates in service projects for the community. This club year we had many diverse service activities planned. We aim to offer a wide assortment of activities to include everyone in the club in some form or another.
In August 2010, MFF assisted the Town of Merrimack Welfare Department in providing backpacks stuffed with school supplies for 52 children of families in need. This project has been very successful in past years and was just as successful this 8th year the club has participated.
In October, Team MFF participated with their dogs in the annual Walktoberfest at Anheiser Busch, benefiting the Greater Nashua Humane Society. They raised over $100! MFF also donated items for the shelter.
In November, MFF collected items to benefit the food pantry at St. James.
In February 2011, MFF collected kitchen items for Families in Transition.
In March, MFF helped paint the interior of the Family OutFITter Thrift Store for Families in Transition. Click here for more info.
Also in March, MFF collected items for the St. John Neumann Food Pantry.
In April, we filled 32 Easter baskets for kids in need for the 10th year!! And, we helped run the town's annual Easter Egg Hunt at Wasserman Park.
In May, MFF held its 4th annual blood drive at the American Red Cross Donation Center in Manchester.
Stay tuned for more upcoming events and ways you can help!
